Jennifer Froyd, MA, LCMHC is a NC Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Yoga Instructor. Jennifer has a MA in Community Counseling from Appalachian State University. She has completed two yoga teacher trainings with Kristine Weber of Subtle Yoga, in addition to many other yoga trainings. She has had a long-standing interest in wellness and holistic health and utilizes these approaches professionally with her clients. Jennifer views counseling as a privilege to assist individuals with navigating the journeys of their lives by developing personal strengths, support networks, & healthy coping strategies; all of which are important aspects in moving toward overall well-being. Speaking from personal experience about the transformative effects yoga has had on her life, Jennifer looks forward to partnering with her clients to create opportunities to restore balance, relieve stress and anxiety, relax and receive the gifts of the present moment, and build a feeling of empowerment to make healthy choices in their lives. Jennifer teaches a gentle style of yoga that emphasizes awareness of how your body feels on that given day, in that specific practice. Encouragement is offered to listen to your own body's wisdom and move within what feels accessible. Jennifer also incorporates subtle ways of nourishing the nervous system in her classes.
